What do you want to know about navigating healthcare?

There’s certainly a massive learning curve when you are trying to navigate a health issue. Patients and care partners have an increasing amount of ‘New Work‘ that we are responsible for.

The difficult truth is that sometimes you just can’t easily access the care you need because of the state of our healthcare systems.

Although everyone’s experiences are different, there are some common questions that I encounter that I will be addressing… And I’m always on the lookout for more questions

What Is A ‘Good Question’?

To start – any question you have about navigating healthcare in Canada is a good question.

Please ask your question in general terms, without giving too much detail about your specific circumstances. Think about phrases such as:

  • How do I…
  • Is it possible to…
  • What are the pros and cons of…

Why Ask Here?

We can all benefit from the questions of others, especially when we’re new to managing a critical or chronic illness. There’s so much to learn and sometimes without a lot of time to absorb it all or do a lot of research.

If you have a good healthcare team, that’s the place to start. If you don’t – or if you’re wondering how to navigate a situation that is growing in complexity it may be time to reach out!
